Loving Self Therapy

Guiding You Back to Your True Self

Whether you're navigating trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or seeking a deeper sense of peace, we're here to walk beside you with care and support. Together, we’ll create a safe, empowering space to help you reconnect with your inner strength and move toward the life you truly deserve. At Loving Self Therapy, we believe that the journey toward growth and healing starts with learning to love and accept yourself—just as you are.

  • EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people process and heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. It allows painful memories to be integrated in a way that reduces emotional charge, helping clients feel more grounded, present, and free from the past. EMDR can be an effective approach for addressing symptoms of anxiety and depression, especially when these symptoms are rooted in unresolved past experiences.

  • Spiritual/Religious Trauma

Religious and spiritual trauma can deeply impact a person’s sense of self, worth, and belonging. When belief systems are used to instill fear, shame, or control, the emotional and psychological wounds can be long-lasting. Healing involves reclaiming autonomy, rebuilding trust in oneself, and creating space for authentic meaning-making.

  • Grief

Grief is a natural, yet often overwhelming response to loss that can affect every part of life—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Healing from grief is not about “moving on,” but about learning to carry the loss while finding ways to reconnect with meaning, purpose, and life again. It’s a deeply personal process that deserves compassion, patience, and space to unfold at its own pace.

  • Relationship Distress

Relationship struggles can surface in many forms—conflict, disconnection, codependency, or patterns that feel hard to break. These challenges often reflect deeper needs for safety, belonging, and understanding. Healing in relationships begins with greater self-awareness, boundary work, and learning new ways to relate with compassion and authenticity—both with others and with yourself.

Meet Jennifer, Therapist and Owner

Jennifer is a compassionate and client-centered therapist who believes in the power of healing through connection. She began her journey by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, graduating in 2019. Jennifer holds her LPC-MHSP license in Tennessee and her LPCC license in California.

Jennifer has worked across a range of clinical settings—including detox, residential, and outpatient programs—which has helped her build a strong and diverse foundation in providing both individual and group therapy. These experiences have deepened her commitment to supporting people through life’s most challenging moments with empathy and care.

Her clinical focus includes trauma (PTSD), co-dependency, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, and navigating life transitions and stressors. Jennifer works from a person-centered, relational approach, tailoring each session to meet her clients where they are. She integrates modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting to support deep emotional healing and meaningful growth.

Above all, Jennifer believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can reconnect with their inner strength, learn to trust themselves, and move toward a more fulfilling, authentic life.

When she isn’t working, Jennifer can be found reading fantasy/fiction, lifting weights at the gym, or spending quality time with her husband and their lively crew of pets—including three cats and an Australian Shepherd. She values staying active in her community and cherishes time with close friends. These personal passions help her stay grounded, connected, and inspired in both life and work.
